Mediation and
Conciliation
Mediation is a process of dispute resolution in
which one or more impartial third persons intervene
in a conflict or dispute with the consent of the
parties and assist them in finalizing a consensual
and informed agreement. In mediation, the decision-making
authority rests with the parties themselves. Recognizing
party needs, cultural differences, and variations
in style, the mediation process allows the parties
to define and clarify issues, reduce obstacles
to communication, explore possible solutions, and,
when desired, reach a mutually satisfactory agreement.
Mediation is a conflict intervention process in
which parties consider the suggestions of a third
party that is agreed upon in advance. The parties
are not bound to accept the mediator’s recommendations
and suggestions.
Mediation can be an effective means of settling
conflicts and breaking negotiation deadlocks. Our
mediators are discreet, neutral, fair, knowledgeable
and unbiased. They consider all angles and are
extremely focused on conflict resolution. We help
the parties understand the issues and find their
own solutions. We suggest other solutions and explain
the issues to each side. We prepare all recommendations
quickly. We try to resolve conflicts through mediation
as quickly as possible.
